SARAH ISBERG

Sarah Isberg is an experienced educational leader with over 20 years of expertise in the field, including roles such as Deputy CEO, Executive Head, Headteacher, and Inspector. She has a strong commitment to school improvement and her past experience attests to that; she was able to elevate an inadequate school to outstanding status within three years, winning various awards in the process.

Her passion for education stems from her belief that every child has limitless potential and it's her duty as a leader to create opportunities that allow them to reach their full potential. Her philosophy focuses on ensuring the highest standards of learning and providing learners with an enriching curriculum tailored according to their individual needs. With her dedication and leadership, Sarah is sure to be a driving force behind Al Maharat Private School's success.

Deputy Head of Primary

Emma Ross

Emma Ross has had a distinguished career in education for the past 18 years. She has experience as a class teacher across all age groups and was initially a Physics teacher in Scotland before transitioning to working with younger learners. During her time teaching, she has held various positions including ICT Coordinator, Head of Key Stage 2, and most recently Head of Primary at GEMS British School Al Rehab for 4 years.

Emma strongly believes that each child should have access to high-quality education and every opportunity to succeed. She prioritises student well-being and works to ensure a safe, secure environment for every child. With her commitment to creating an engaging learning atmosphere, Emma is sure to be a valuable asset to Al Maharat Private School.

Head of Inclusion, Wellbeing & Safeguarding

Georgina Nel

Georgie has over seven years of experience in developing an inclusive culture within the educational environment. In the past four years Georgie has worked in a leadership capacity to establish and run new SEN, EAL, and Inclusion departments across her previous schools. She is also extremely passionate about Wellbeing, and Safeguarding. On an academic level, she is a specialist in neuroscience and mental health, particularly in working with young children and adolescents. Georgie’s personal vision is to create a safe space where every student can grow and thrive throughout their unique learning journey.
